Are you experiencing excessive buffering (blue spinning circle) on your KikiTV channels?
Recently many Canadian Internet providers (ie.. Shaw, Bell, Sasktel) have applied filters to their Internet service that is throttling and blocking Internet-based live TV. Such as KiKi Tv.
You can resolve the issue by installing a VPN application on your Firestick and choosing the United States or a random country as your country.
We recommend a VPN app called Proton VPN. Follow the instructions below to install and activate Proton VPN.
From the home screen select Find then Search.
2. Type "proton vpn" in the search field.
3. Select the Proton VPN app from the search results.
4. Select the Get button to download and install the app.
5. Open the app then use your mobile device or computer to follow the instructions to sign in.
Go to https://protonvpn.com/tv
Sign in with the following.
Email: vpn@kikitv.ca
Password: gojetsgo2025!
Enter the code displayed on your TV.
6. Select any random country then select Connect.
7. On the Connection request prompt select OK.
8. Once you see you are connected you can return to the home screen and open KikiTV. If you still have issues try connecting to a different random country.
If you're experiencing excessive buffering while watching KikiTV and KikiVOD you may want to perfom a network speed test to check if the problem is caused by your connection.
A low connection speed could be caused by having your Firestick too far away from your Wifi modem or you may need to restart your modem by unplugging it briefly.
From the home screen navigate to the row of icons at the top then to the three lines on the left beside Search.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Network.
4. Select your currently connected network.
5. Select Network status.
6. Select Run Speed Test.
7. Read the reccomendations provided. Restarting your modem and or router often improves connection quality.
Clear the application caches.
Go to Settings from your main Fire TV home menu.
2. Select Applications.
3. Select Managed Installled Applications.
To clear all application caches, select Clear all Application Caches, and then Confirm.
While watching KikiTV press the menu button. This is the button on the remote with three lines.
2. Select the settings icon on the far right.
3. Select Playback.
3. Select Video decoder.
4. Make sure Hardware is selected.
If you're having issues with your Kiki apps and the above solutions haven't worked then restarting your Firestick will often solve the problem.
From the home screen navigate to the row of icons at the top then to the three lines on the left beside Search.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select My Fire TV
4. Select Restart.
5. Select Restart and wait a moment for the Firestick to reboot.
If you would like to rearrange the apps displayed on your home screen then follow the instructions below.
From the "Your apps and channels" section navigate to the right until you highlight the app you would like to move.
2. Press and hold the Select button until the menu appears on the right. Select either Move to front or Move to place it manually.
3. Navigate to where you want the app and press the Select button to drop it into place.
